The National Cable Wakeboard Championships were held in BallyHass at the weekend. It was the first Nationals since 2019  due to Covid and post Covid. It was evident from the 43 Competitors that they were looking forward to it. A large contingent from Northern Ireland along with their families made the long trip to Ballyhass.  If your not aware Ballyhass has now bunkhouses which can accomadate up to 120 People with a  ranch style canteen where guests cook up themselves and then relax in the wigwam on a scatter of bean bags and chill to the sounds. Excellent facility.

The event its self was run over three days with practice  into darkness on the Friday,  qualifiers on Saturday  , and finals were on Sunday  .

There was a lot of new faces giving it all as well as some of the old heads that have now progressed to open men , even masters.

The Event as always was run to precision by Eoghan , elaine and their team , all competitors were looked after extremely well with a big BBQs organised for the Sat night with free Murphys

The other positive note is that some of the cable riders have promised to show up at the Boat Nationals this weekend to be held in New ferry  subject to water conditions .

All in all and fun weekend was had by all , well done to the  Ballyhass Team!
