Thursday 8th November saw a first for the Irish Waterski and Wakeboard Federation with Dubln Institute of Technology ( DIT ) awarding one of our Team members an Elite Athlete Scholarship. Nicole Carroll, a member of Lough Muckno Waterski and Wakeboar Club and an Irish Wakeboard Team Member was awarded the Scholarship at a ceremony hosted at Kevin Street. Nicole, a student at Bolton Street studying Aviation Technology, was awarded the scholarship following an Interview process within the DIT group. Presenting the award, Niamh O'Callaghan, gave a review of Nicoles achievements to date and recognised her representing Ireland Internationally. 

It is great to see the Third Level Colleges now recognising our Sport, and hopefully Nicole will be the first of many.
