2019 Boat Wakeboard Championships

Newferry Co. Antrim was the venue of choice for the 2019 Boat Wakeboard Championships. A Perfect Location on the River Bann with full facilities on site, it was indeed the ideal location with the perfect hosts, Newferry Waterski Club.

The boat of Choice, Mastercraft X-Stary, kindly donated for the event by Johnny Crawford & Paul Dillon, big thanks for such generous help.

Practice was held on Friday Night it what could only be termed as "INTERESTING" Conditions, wind howling, rain pelting , a real Irish Summer for sure.

Saturday saw calmer conditions, not ideal but a lot calmer and for the most part it stayed dry.

10.15am Chief Judge Graham Creedy (UK) did the Rider Brief and Introduced his Team;

The event ran to schedule and the weather held off to allow for an exciting and entertaining event. There was a great attendance on the shore of Families and Friends and some travelled to just see the event from as far away as Monaghan. They were not disappointed by the displays that were on offer.

Lunch was served up by Chef of the day – Stephen Johnston with the ever reliable diet of Whelans Exquisite Sausages supplied by Tommy Whelan.
