2023 EA Wakeboard Boar Seminar, Athens 3st March to 2nd April
The EA Wakeboard Boat Council held a Judging, Scoring and Driving Seminar in Athens from March 31 st
to April 2 nd . The Seminar was presented and delivered by:
Nuno Eca, Colin Hart, Stefano Durante, Bubi Cami and Irelands Linda Johnston.
The three different aspects covered were Judging, Scoring and Boat Driving. The Seminar was well

Sport Ireland 2023 Funding Launch
On Tuesday 14th February Minister Thomas Byrne and Dr Una May launched the 2023 Sport Ireland Sport Investment Launch at SI Headquarters. President Paul Carroll attended on behalf of the IrWWF. The IrWWF has had an increase of €2,000 for 2023 bringing our Core Grant to €42,000. The IrWWf would like to thank Sport Ireland and Minister Byrne and his Department for this. Practice was held on the 10th June from 4pm till late in very challenging conditions choppy water wind and rain .
However this was an experience as it was never going to get worse on competition day and gave the competitors a chance to ride the awesome wake of the G23 supplied by Gary McClintock and piloted by Andy McQuiggan .

What is Play True Day?
Tomorrow the 10th of April is Play True day, This a campaign that a few National Anti-doping Organisations along with WADA started a few years ago which has grown and Sport Ireland would like to support it.
Play True Day is dedicated to clean sport and is intended to raise awareness among athletes, the sporting public and others about the global fight against doping.

As August came to an end activity on the water was the busiest for the year. Golden Falls held a Slalom Tour Stop and Muckno hosted the Boat Wakeboard Nationals and a Kneeboard Comp.
