Ballyhass is Ireland’s largest cable wakeboarding centre and is delighted to bring the world’s latest and fastest growing water sport into the heart of Munster. Cable wakeboarding uses an overhead cable which pulls you over the surface of the lakes with a feel just like surfing or snowboarding but on water. This is the most accessible water sport for all ages and most of all fantastic fun. Ireland’s most unique sporting tourist attraction will be open March 2014.
We have installed two Sesitec system 2.0. The System 2.0 is essentially a straight-line cable system that is great for events or stand-alone rail parks. The System 2.0 allows for a continuous ride, it is the perfect way to learn to wakeboard and has close to a 100% record for teaching people to wakeboard. This is due to the incredible speed control the driver has and the upward pull of the cable. The system is perfect for all levels of riders and is a dream training tool. What really makes a wake park though is the obstacle setup underneath the cable. Think floating skate park! Ballyhass is starting big and will have several obstacles on both lines that will be ideal for beginners who are hitting an obstacle for the first time and amazing fun for an experienced rider at any level.
Ballyhass Wakepark will be ideal for getting groups like schools, sport teams, corporates and Hens & Stags on to the water to learn how to wakeboard. For riders who really want to progress their skill level, there will be options to buy memberships, ride packs and courses. Something to suite everyone's price point.
